OLIVE PRODUCER SPECIALIZING IN A LYE-FREE CURING PROCESS
Evil Olives needed a logo and mascot to be printed on a banner within ten days. I was prompted to lean into the stacked arrangement of letters and the wordplay inherent in the brand name, and to produce something with stamp-like texture.
First round of concept based on the prompt, providing logo and mascot options
Iterations on the client's selection from the initial concept round
After some consideration, we expanded the timeline and scope in order to explore some additional options for the mascot, based on some new reference material
With a new direction for the mascot, we tested some finishing touches for the banner
We opted against using an olive for the O, aiming to limit the number of factors that might confuse the eye and cause the banner to read as "Evil Lives". We used color to further reinforce the distinction between letters and other elements.
